Aum Namo Bhagavathe Shri Ramanaya!
The Spiritual Luncheon held every 1st Sunday, sponsored by “The Friendly Hands” of Canada was held today at Ramanalayam, Sri Lanka. The luncheon began as usual with the recitation of Ramana Akshara Manamalai followed by a short welcome speech by the President of Saraswathy Illam, Prof Balasubramaniam.
The main topic for today’s satsang was the Hindu Saints of Sri Lanka, and the life of Kadayit Swamigal who came from the Karnataka state of India in the early 1800s, was shared by Dr M Jeyarajan. After the Aradhana and flower offering, lunch was served to all the devotees. Dry rations under the Ramana Akshaya Food Program was distributed to the regular recipients soon after lunch. The program concluded around 1 pm.
