Today’s luncheon for elders and devotees of Ramana Maharshi, sponsored by the Friendly Hands of Canada was well attended. With a pleasant surprise, a number of young children from the nearby youth centre attended and actively participated in the Bhajans and discussions. The luncheons organised on 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month are now becoming a regular event for the local elders who are increasingly participating.
The topic discussed today was about the history and intention behind Bhagavan’s composition, Ramana Akshara Manamalai. The children were highly engrossed in the discussion on God and the divinity within each of us…. the day ended with the weekly food rations being distributed to elders who are affected by the prevailing economic crisis in the country.
